History
Our carboxylation factory has been in existence since 1961 and was initially used for the production of salicylic acid and small amounts of para-hydroxybenzoic acid. In 1996, then owner Rhône-Poulenc / Rhodia started producing cresotinic acids.
In 2005, the plant was acquired by Infatrade (UK) Ltd, and LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant GmbH was established.
Since then, production facilities have been upgraded and continuous investments have been made into technical and technological innovation. The production capacity for para-hydroxybenzoic acid was dramatically increased. In 2006, LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant GmbH developed its own process for extracting technical grade potassium sulphate > 99.6%. This completed our product range.
